A fix for the rare MiSTer FPGA "no video" problem

No video or black screen?

So here's what happened to me: I ran the Update All script, and although it said not everything was able to be updated, I started a game anyway (Ms. Pac-Man if you're wondering). I had no video after starting up the core. Resetting, power cycling, and unplugging/plugging didn't help.

Luckily I found this tweet:

Some users are experiencing no video on MiSTer after running updater, downloader, or update_all. This appears to be due to an intermittent file copy corruption issue and is being investigated. To get running, replace MiSTer and menu.rbf with below files from the repo. See below.

These are the files:

I copied over both files although only one was overwritten (I think menu.rbf). Maybe it's because of my JAMMIX setup. Whatever it was, this fix works. I saw a menu again, and then I tried Ms. Pac-Man again and it played fine.

If this becomes a problem, I'll need easier access to the micro SD card. I will say I am thinking about getting a micro SD extender because it's hard enough as it is to remove the micro SD card from the whole JAMMIX setup in the first place. You have to open the case, unscrew the JAMMIX from the four mounts, remove the I/O shield, and hope you're good enough with tweezers to handle the micro SD card. There's a gap in the Jasen's Customs case between the I/O shield and the back of the case, which I really didn't like at first, but now I think I can take advantage of it to squeeze the micro SD extender through.
