- MS WORD How to disable Ctrl+PageDown/up going to next search result
- This way Ctrl+PageUp and Ctrl+PageDown will always neatly jump to each new page break. Useful if you have a monitor in portrait mode.
- How can I change text color via keyboard shortcut in MS word 2010
- I like using Alt+1 as black, Alt+2 as red, and Alt+3 as green.
- Disable smart quotes
- File > Options > Proofing > AutoCorrect Options > AutoFormat As You Type > Replace as you type > uncheck all
- Disable keep ellipses as three dots instead of one character
- File > Options > Proofing > AutoCorrect Options > AutoCorrect tab > Replace text as you type > delete the entry (hit period three times)
- Disable double dashes turning back into one
- File > Options > Proofing > AutoCorrect Options > AutoCorrect tab > Replace text as you type > uncheck Hyphens (--) with dash (-)
- Disabling track changes completely
- More specifically, the keyboard shortcut to toggle track changes. Because this can really, really mess you up.
- Disable paste option popup
- These annoying little bastards interfere with my AutoHotkey scripts and I've never, ever needed them.
- File > Options > Advanced > Cut, copy, and paste > uncheck: Show Paste Options button when content is pasted
Now if anyone can tell me how to hit the little X to close out the Ctrl+F search, that would be swell. Currently I have Ctrl+J as an AutoHotkey macro that moves and clicks, but that's not elegant...
